This is one of the pieces that SoHaute/SoChic sent me (: It's actually a dress, but I tucked it into shorts (from H&M!) to make it into a top!
Worn with a silky-ish cardigan/blazer thingy that I bought from Bangkok. I'm sure you can tell that there are shoulder pads! It was quite pricey by Bangkok standards, but I really liked the smooth material and the cut was good.

We were at Lido to watch Step Up 3D. I thought the dancing was AWESOME. Like the nerdy kid improved a gazillion times from the previous Step Up movies, but the storyline remained as lame as usual, if not worse -_-

Below are photos from last night, where I wore another dress that I was sent (: This one's more party-ish so I figured it would be suitable!

Anyway, we headed down to J Bar at M Hotel (located at Anson Road). They have this pretty good deal every Saturday whereby any girl wearing lipstick (but they didn't check) pays only $18 for free flow of champagne, wine and Cosmopolitans! For guys the drinks are the normal price, but there's no cover charge. What you can do is basically ask your guy friends to buy one drink (that girls get refillable), and then you just take their glass to the bar and ask for a refill! Just be discreet (:

With Jeannie and Huda.

Jeannie and Diana.

Photobucket
Haha my friends were so happy that I brought Alaric with me cause they kept asking him to take photos for us -_-
(And that's me in the back with an act-chio pose hahaha).

Photobucket
By the way they are ALL wearing heels that are 3 to 4 inches high and... I'm still taller in flats hahaha. Fail. Anyway L-R: Fairuz, Diana, Jeannie, Huda and I.

Photobucket
My glass of Cosmo! That was the only drink I took actually, I just kept getting refills of this because I wasn't keen on champagne/red wine/white wine.

Photobucket

Photobucket
The glostick bangles indicate that we can get refills (: I found another bangle haha.

Rest of the photos are from Facebook, so they're of a shitty quality:
Photobucket
Haha thought I looked funny here.

Act cute.

Act chio.

And my cute boyfriend to end off :D

Woohoo so glad NTU students are finally starting school (theirs was delayed because the school was involved in the YOG)! TIME FOR THEM TO JOIN THE MISERY. I kid, school's fine.
So far I have one South Korean lecturer and one Australian one. I have another lecturer that's really pretty, but I don't know if she's local or not. It's probably lucky (for the guys) that she's pretty, cause her voice is damn bloody monotonous -_-

NUS Week 3

Thursday, August 26, 2010
Me: "Eh is the powder and the foundation in my bathroom yours?"
Mother: "No, you don't know whose it is? I thought it's Alaric's."
Me: "FOUNDATION?!"
Mother: "Must be the maid's then."

These were taken a while back at Butter Factory for one of Alaric's friend's birthday! I generally don't wear necklaces to club (or even in general) cause I hate how they jingle jangle and bounce about (sadly only the necklaces and nothing else sufficiently large) but I actually have quite a lot of necklaces so... pointless mention k whateverz.

Photobucket
This was after getting out hair cut at a salon inside Goodwood Park. I don't think there's a noticeable difference in my hair cause it's so long, cutting a few inches won't do much haha. Alaric's hair was cut a lot shorter and thinner though, especially at the ears.

Photobucket
Spot me! Haha okay kidding.

Photobucket
This is along one of the corridors in NUS (from the Central Forum/Library to the FASS Deck). Notice the bushes on the right?
(And those are my two friends waiting patiently for me while I squat beside the bushes.)

Photobucket
2 cats happily snoozing in the bushes!!

Photobucket
Cat 1. Looking positively bored to death by me peering at it.

Photobucket
Cat 2, who cannot even be bothered to look at me.

Photobucket
DORAEMON CAR AT THE NUS CARPARK. GAY TO THE MAX.

Photobucket
Hahahaha wahlao what an obsession.

Photobucket
McDonald's cups that I made Alaric collect for me. Whee now I've so many!

Photobucket
Remember my gay nails? (I know this was just in the previous post but this is for the purpose of referencing. Chipping badly btw)

Me: "Look the blue part is a river, then there's the silver pixie dust trail and the EverGreen Glades. Somewhere beyond my fingers is the Faraway Tree."
Erika: "So where's the pixie?"
Me: "Neh?" (here I point at myself)

Hahaha. School is boring. Bye bye!

Bonitochico Birthday Bash

Monday, August 23, 2010
Wah I never knew the power of blogshops till I went for this bash because... the amount of effort some girls are willing to go through is CRAZY.

The bash was at Zirca (Clarke Quay) and doors were slated to open at 2.30pm, with the actual event starting at 3pm. Due to Sherry's actual ability to be on time, she reached at 2.40pm and had a mild spasm when seeing the number of girls there already (and also because I was the one holding the bash tickets, and was blissfully still at home - my ability to be on time being not as refined as hers -) (I reached at 3+pm).

The queue stretched all the way from Zirca's doors, past the taxi stand, past the fountain in the middle and way past Arena (which is quite far away). I don't know how much further it stretched beyond that lah, cause I couldn't be bothered to go see. Anyway, apparently some girls had started queuing at 11am? INSANE OR WHUT.

Photobucket

Photobucket
I helped myself to one of the chairs nearby haha.

By the way, like half the girls there were probably wearing Bonitochico stuff. And to be honest, neither Sherry nor I have a single item from them hahahaha. I wanted to buy two pieces recently but they sold out within minutes! Crazyyyyy.
Anyway a lot of the girls were reallyyy dressed up. Like super high heels and bodycon dresses, like they were going clubbing or something. I looked like I was just going to town haha.

Photobucket
Sherry (in the middle) and her two friends.

Anyway it was pretty packed inside Zirca. Like when we went in the fashion show had already started and it was super hard to get a good spot to see it! I managed to get a seat but had to crane my neck to be able to see the show, with Sherry standing behind me and lamenting that she "should have worn her heels so that she can tower over all these girls".

They had lucky draws and were done giving out the $50/$100/$250/$? Bonitochico vouchers when Daniel Ong (the dj) announced the next prize to be a $250 L'Oreal hamper. Both Sherry and I wanted to win the Balenciaga (obviously, cause worth the most hahaha) so I was saying to her "I laugh if you win that", cause the hamper was bound to be pretty heavy too.

Then.... Daniel Ong announced my IC number. FML hahahahahaha.
Actually I spent like 5 minutes going "Eh he said all the numbers in my IC but didn't say the alphabet leh! Is it me? Is it me?!" and Sherry almost shoved me over the railing (I screamed) (we were on the second floor) trying to get me to claim my prize.

So... Yah it was me haha. Terribly difficult time making my way down pushing through the throng of girls! Mad embarrassed and flustered by the time I got onstage to get the prize from the Bonitochico owners.

Woohoo the hamper was full of makeup and skincare stuff! I totally don't need to buy any new makeup for like the next 2 years at least haha.

Photobucket
I collected a gazillion balloons on the way out! (We were only given one each).

Photobucket
The Bonitochico goodie bag and my L'Oreal hamper!

Sherry's working at Shu Uemura and this is the makeup she has to wear on weekends at the shop (Paragon outlet, so if you've nothing to do you can go spy on her). She HAS to use 4 colours in her eyeshadow. She signed me up as a Shu Uemura member or something also haha.

Photobucket
More balloons!

Photobucket
Bonitochico lanyard in blue, purple and pink.

Photobucket
And.... taking the bus with all my balloons teehee.

Photobucket
The Bonitochico Sticky sweet, which had a nice flavour! And my half completed nails (primarily why I was so late to meet Sherry).

Photobucket
Stuff in the Bonitochico goodie bag (and + the Sticky sweets, but by this time I had eaten all of them...)

Photobucket
Stuff in my L'Oreal hamper!

Photobucket
And my nails! I used masking tape to paint half of the nail diagonally. I know it doesn't look very neat but it doesn't really matter at this point. That's me starting the top half of my thumb in green.

Photobucket
Covering the blue diagonal part to start painting the green.

Photobucket
The green part painted!

Photobucket
Green + blue diagonal halves completed. I know the middle part where they meet doesn't look that neat, but like I said it doesn't really matter. Applied one topcoat at this point.

Photobucket
Used silver glittery nail polish to paint across the diagonal line! Thought about adding crystals but maybe another time. Added another layer of topcoat (Use Sally Hansen's clear polishes, I think it's damn good!) cause my nail polish chips damnnnn easily.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Okay I know the edges don't look very neat but I mean after a few days the nail polish that got unto the cuticle/skin will come off.

Photobucket

Wah I seriously hate my fingers, which is why I almost never wear nail polish (although I think I'm quite good at it leh! This is my first time painting anything other than just a single solid colour) (and also I think that excessive nail art makes you look too vain haha) because I don't want to draw attention to them. But my nails look so pweety moving across the keyboard as I type...

P.S. Bonitochio actually renamed themselves LoveBonito at the bash but I was too lazy to switch to LoveBonito once I started typing Bonitochico.

Sherry and I were talking about blogshop names and wondering what they meant. I was wondering why they decided to drop the "Chico" in LoveBonito, or why not use LoveChico instead? (Although in retrospect, "Chico" does make me think of cheekopeks -> perverse old men.)

So anyway, Sherry looked up what Bonito and Chico meant, and the results are quite retarded.
Bonito actually refers to a predatory FISH hahahaha.
Chico (from Chicalote) is a type of flower, which seriously sounds like a way better name right? But like I said, there's that whole cheekopek issue.

After the Bonitochico/LoveBonito Bash, I decided to drop by the Bukit Panjang Daiso outlet (hahahaha). I was tweeting that Daiso is incredibly good at making you buy things you don't need at all, just because it's only $2 storewide. I mean $2 really is cheap. The problem is, it adds up to a lot when you keep adding things you now suddenly need to your already heavy shopping basket.

Mental dialogue:
"I don't need this plastic Hello Kitty pouch that is transparent (can see inside), a great size, cute, has HELLO KITTY on it and is only $2. I DO NOT NEED IT."
-5 seconds later-
"I need it."

Soooo... now I need to buy more things so that I actually have stuff to put in the Hello Kitty pouch. Isn't consumerism beautiful?!

P.P.S. Looking at the photo of the Sticky sweet that says Bonito <3 Chico, makes me realise that essentially it is saying... Fish Loves Flower. Hahahahahaha.
