Actually I think the main image for a blogshop's collection is really important because it decides whether or not I'd click on it? And new blogshops, please remember to hyperlink the image on your front page! So many don't.

Sometimes I receive a blogshop banner/collage and I'm just like... But then again it's not my problem. I have no idea how many new blogshops sprout up each week O.O Everyone wants to do it now! (Just like the coupon-buying business too)

Occasionally I go for a blogshop shoot, and I notice how these new owners are getting older and older. Many are actually full-time day job-holders and some are even married with young kids. (And they bring their maid along to do the ironing of the clothes...)

Haha not making any real point here. I guess basically if you wanna start a blogshop still, you just have to remember how intense the competition is now! No more shoddy taken-at-home photos.

Photobucket

(This is also an example of the kind of photo that is NOT acceptable to sell clothes if you're a blogshop! Hahaha why am I putting down my own pictures... but ok it's not as if I can realistically book a studio each time I have to feature one/two pieces from a blogshop).

Photobucket
Thought that the details of the top couldn't really be seen above so here's another shot!

And because I have nothing to blog about, I'm going to whore out my hamster again as blogging material. I even created a dialogue for him (IKR hahahaha):

*Oblivious*
*Notices camera*
Hamlet: "Eh?"

Photobucket
*teary-eyes*
Hamlet: NOOOO! I wasn't ready! :'(

Photobucket
Hamlet: Wait ah, I prep.

Photobucket
*prep-ing*

Hamlet: There! Better right?

Omg I have no life.........

Random picture of the open-air eating/studying area at NUS' Central Forum, that is meticulously landscaped and maintained (spot the deer-bush)(there are more animal-bushes).

NO ONE GOES except the Angmoh exchange student hahahah (spot the 2 Angmohs). The Asians all prefer the air-conditioned library.

And this was the day the Reebonz bus came to school:

For those who may not know, Reebonz is an online store that sells luxury bags at a discounted price (nothing huge though). Kinda random to set up in school? Haha I don't know I mean... is any student really going to walk in and buy a Chanel after lecture? Lol.

Garfield:

Super fat cat spotted the other day! Ok I think it might be pregnant, but it's still damn fat! Hahahahahaha.

Photobucket
Too bad I didn't get a shot of it sitting down. Its ass was like PHWOAR. Massive hahahaha. Like a lot wider than the length of my foot.

Ok goodbye I'm going out to buy myself a life.
(I'm lying, I'm just going to be playing Sims Social)(You can buy land now!)

Did some F21 shopping the other day! Got one bracelet, one floral skort, one dress and the simple grey tank top I'm wearing in the picture. Students get 10% off on purchases above $50 :)

And random picture of my nails glowing crazily inside Zouk! You can see a faint outline of the Zouk chop as well on my arm. I think my nails are glowing because of the Gelish nail polish! It happened at Butter Factory too haha.

Bugis Essensuals

Thursday, September 22, 2011
Just a quick post on a visit to my normal hair salon, Bugis Essensuals!

Alaric actually went to have his hair cut there too (as a normal paying customer, if you were wondering) but I didn't get a chance to take pictures!

Photobucket
When you enter, you'll actually see the names of all the sponsored bloggers on the right!
(pictured far left in the above picture)

Photobucket
They actually have tons of stuff for you to do while waiting! You can even play... PS3? Xbox? What's that black box again? *small voice* I suck at console jargon.

AFTER:

(Sorry I'm not very adventurous with my hair... Hahaha all I got was a darkening of my hair colour and trimming of my fringe).

Photobucket

Photobucket
Super smooth (they do a quick treatment during hair wash) and nicely blown-dry! You can request for your hair to be blown-dry in curls, straight, only ends curling... etc.

Photobucket
My school notebook and pencilcase on the counter :D

Here is the hair colour (under my bright ring light):

Obviously no longer nicely blown-dry and stuff because I'm too lazy to do it myself at home haha.

Hello from Genting! :D

I often get questions about what's appropriate to wear to university and what I normally wear, so here's a few pictures taken when school started!

(Nowadays I don't really bother with small bags anymore. This is sufficient for me to fit my planner + pencilcase, but I get lazy to carry my file)

This Longchamp bag is pretty much what I carry all the time now! It can fit all my stuff and it's super sturdy. It's gotten the few odd marks on its exterior already but oh well :(

Ok I'm too sleepy to think of anything else to say. Goodnight!

Random pictures from my Photobooth because Photobucket is bugging out on me as usual (and I don't want to admit that I just have no life and hence no photos).

These photos are pretty old; you can see me showing my previous set of Gelish nails by Milly's lol. Must have forgotten about them.

Kinda like the pink lipstick I have on here, but alas it is still in my friend's handbag and that was about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Picture of me in September's issue of Seventeen, and I really don't like my other profile :(
I'm assuming most of you have noticed by now that I always show the left side of my face or sometimes frontal/angled, but never full-on the right side!

Like... my face looks fatter here and everyone says I look more mature (I don't think they meant it in a good way - more like an old+unmarried+with5cats+OL kind of way)(OL means Office Lady, and I don't think it's used in that good a way either lol).

Ok then I JUST took a random picture of Photobooth. Here's how the process went:

1. Accidentally clicked Photobooth while originally aiming to click on iPhoto to look through recent albums to see if I can scrounge up something to blog about.

2. Curses internally because I have to wait for it to load before I can close it. 5 seconds is a big deal ok. I'm a very busy person (contradicting my earlier statement about not having a life but never mind).

3. Suddenly remembers the Black & White mode on Photobooth. Ok I know this isn't exactly a Eureka! moment. I mean... it's always there.

4. Suddenly remembers how many girls like to take Black & White Photobooth photos because 1) it makes you look "artsy" and "deep" and 2) Photobooth's quality is shit, so everyone looks good. Seriously.

5. Selected the Black & White mode.

6. Suddenly remember that my hair isn't down, and that's always crucial in aforementioned "artsy+deep" shots because you usually need part of your face covered by hair. Preferably sexily tousled like you spent all day in bed doodling in your hand-bound paper journal (with that special kind of thick brown paper for which I have no name).

Ended up with this:

7. Looked at myself in Photobooth and remembered pig snouts. Like the kind we did in primary school and we all thought we were the only ones who came up with it first.

Goodbye! I'm off to eat macaroni & cheese yay!

Bubblegum

My glittery bubblegum nails done by Milly's!

(Random, but this reminds me of Gwen Stefani's song Bubble Pop Electric - it wasn't incredibly popular but I had her CD. The very, very few CDs I had: Gwen Stefani, Dido & Britney Spears hahaha).

Photobucket

Photobucket
My nails and toenails were done by Rebecca! :D
I also hear Gina is really good, so you can look for either of them :)

Photobucket
Random picture of a random girl beside me choosing her nail design!

Photobucket
The pedicure is damn awesome! You soak your feet and they use this special scrub to remove dead skin that leaves your skin super smooth!

They also use this filing/sandpaper (not literally sandpaper but I have no other way to describe it) thing to scrub the dead skin off your soles. Omg I had so much dead skin :S

Photobucket
♥ my Ikea quilt cover

Photobucket
First she draws the 3 coloured stripes, then she added a line of gold glitter below the light pink, and finally she individually placed the silver flakes!

Photobucket
(This picture is really too blurry to show anything, but I wanted to capture the green shiny elephant sticker currently adorning my Blackberry).

Photobucket

Photobucket
(If you couldn't already tell, that's my Stitch soft toy!)

Ok and my toenails were done too (no designs because I prefer toenails to be complements to the fingernails) but I'm uh... very self-conscious about my toes.
They're not weird or horrid or anything, but I just find it weird to show someone a picture of my feet! (except for the girl that models the Sally Hansen nail polish; what gorgeous toenails hahaha)

Photobucket
So these are my toenails encased in a pair of wedges haha (the shoes are new and clean lah). A really nice glitter pink! :D

I forgot to mention that my fingernails are painted with Gelish! Gelish lasts really long; it's been a week since I did my nails and they look 100% the same as when I first stepped out of the salon at Bugis Street.

In fact, all the photos with my Ikea quilt cover were JUST taken, so yep they still look great! That's why Gelish is super awesome.

A few readers were asking me on Formspring how much Gelish costs (which I ignored because I didn't know the answer, sorry!) and I just checked with Milly, it's $40 for Gelish and then add-ons will depend on the complexity of your design (e.g. 3D flowers, jewels etc)!

You can find Milly's at both Far East Plaza and Bugis Street!
