Night Safari

Thursday, June 10, 2010
Alaric and I were supposed to go to the zoo on Tuesday but... overslept. So did we cancel? NO, WE WENT TO THE NIGHT SAFARI (aka night zoo). Same thing as the zoo (animals pooping/eating/sleeping), except that now you have to strain your eyes to do it.

"Eh looks like the mouflon sheep in Farmville."
"OMG there's really a mouflon sheep enclosure!"

Night Safari costs $22, $32 with the tram ride. We noticed that the special pass for Zoo+Night Safari costs $32 so we bought that instead. Guess who's going to the zoo next Monday?
In case some people are too lazy to Google this, Night Safari closes at 12am with last entry at 11pm. We reached slightly after 10pm :/

"You fed the dog but forgot to feed the kids!"
"You didn't pay the bills! How are we going to pay off the mortgage?!"

Zebras! There were supposed to be giraffes in it too, as well as one other obscure miscellaneous animal but the giraffes were impossible to spot (ironic).

So lovely ): It's really amazing to be able to get so close to such an incredible animal. It totally just laid there and looked at visitors haha.

Photobucket
Porcupines. Haha it was the only enclosure that didn't have a moat/fence around it, you could reach your hand in and errrr pet the porcupine if you wanted to. If you wanted to.

Otters! Haha so cute they were all eating something. You can see one eating in the middle with its mouth wide open (pink thing). OM NOM NOM NOM!

I really wouldn't mind working at the zoo. I mentioned before on my Formspring that being a vet had always been a career I'd wanted, but you need to go overseas to get a degree in veterinary studies.
"Imma be zoo expert. - 'The tiger is unhappy' - hahaha"

Alaric is a worse Farmville addict than I am. I have converted him.
Anyway creating a fake Farmville neighbour requires a fake Hotmail, fake Facebook account, then getting a farm and downloading this Farmville toolbar that gives you free Farmville cash with which to buy yourself something. This thing can then be sent to your neighbours, so in essence you can create a fake Farmville neighbour to send yourself stuff. Alaric has created 3 or 4 of these already.

Watched The A-Team just now, it was really a pretty good movie! Funny and action-packed, albeit slightly unrealistic. Went swimming today with my underwater camera, going to develop the photos tomorrow! (And collect my %&wtf@# $133 alterations)

Anyway I've just fallen in love with Plants vs Zombies. Played it once a month ago and just started again. Too bad I can only play it on Alaric's Mac!

Need to harvest my crops. ~Bye~

Hi, I''m sorry for being so random. I gathered from your past posts that you're French, could you kindly translate this for me?

'le deuxième coup de foudre, sérieusement'

    Thanks (:

  2. Anonymous: Haha hi!

"coup de foudre" kinda refers to love on sight, or like this jolt/OMG thing when you see the person for the first time; as if love hit you like a thunderbolt.
    (foudre literally means thunder)

"deuxieme" means the second (as in 2nd, not time) while "serieusement" means seriously.

So the line you posted more or less means love on sight for the 2nd time, seriously.
Something along those lines anyway (: Hope this helped.

don't you find it a teeny bit childish/annoying to celebrate every month? and it can't even be called an anniversary

  5. Anonymous: I think the first month is quite important leh. Next would be 6th month I guess. And I see nothing wrong with making one day special every month to do something different.
