Mini-update

Hello!

I'm having my mid-term break right now, which lasts for a week. 

Sounds good but it basically just means work due at the end of the week :/

Spent some time this weekend playing around with the scrapbook materials that Handmake It sent me!

So many cute stickers, decals & art papers! :D

I used some of the polaroid sticker frames to decorate polaroids I had. Looks really colourful now!

The best part is that I can still reuse the middle section (the rectangle) for other stuff!

Also used one of the decals ("Happy Birthday") & it was surprisingly easy & clean-cut.

Closer look at some of the stickers! I stuck a few others on the cover of my iPhone.

AND YES I DROPPED MY PHONE & THE BACK CRACKED T_T

Dropped by the launch of the Blackberry 10 event at the Art-Science Museum at MBS the other day!

Blackberry 10 actually refers to the new operating system that Blackberry has developed.

The 2 Blackberries themselves that are actually being launched are called Z10 (entirely touchscreen) & Q10 (touchscreen with normal Qwerty keyboard). I like the Q10 but I didn't get to see it that day!

This is the Z10!

The new Blackberry 10s have some pretty amazing functions like an intuitive keyboard (it can predict the next word you might type & it gets smarter over time) & video calls on BBM.

One function that really impressed me is in their camera:

Every time you snap a photo, the Blackberry will capture a few microseconds of pictures before/after.

So if one person in the photo is blinking, you can select just that face & scroll through all the possible shots of him/her to find one where they look good :O :O :O :O Rest of the photo remains untouched.

Amazing or what wtf!!!!

No more issues of one person spoiling the picture! 

Plus you can also check your own face to see if got better options for yourself hahahaha.

Went down that day thanks to Beatrice! We were both at a blogger briefing in the afternoon & she said she was going for the Blackberry event (I didn't RSVP :X) so I said I didn't mind going too!

That's because I paid a visit to Salon Vim that day!

I urgently needed to dye off my dip-dye ends that weekend for a shoot on Monday so thankfully they could slot me in Sunday afternoon :) They're very busy on weekends so try to go on weekdays & remember to make an appointment!

I asked for hair treatment that day because my hair got worse after the dip-dye & I've been lazy to use the hair products they gave me :X So my hair ends became quite a bit drier!

Naturally they focused on treatments for coloured hair for me!

I like this Redken treatment!

It was very effective & didn't take very long!

Normally you can expect to be sitting in a salon till you get a butt cramp. 

That day the dye, trim & treatment only took 3 hours!

Hair looks so much healthier & better now!

It's been a week since my visit & my hair is still really smooth & nice!

This is my stylist, Stephanie! So you can ask for her, especially if you want a colour/hairstyle similar to mine because she'd know it :) They keep a special card with hair details of each customer!

Hello! I already said on my Formspring that I have quite a backlog of adverts to clear O.O

Sadly they built up because I spent the last 2 weeks really busy with school assignments :(

But I've some normal photo updates below!

Anyway today I had my hair done! :D And I did dip-dye! I tweeted the picture but you'll see it below too :) I'll do up a proper post for my hair of course (kindly sponsored by Salon Vim at 313@Somerset), but because I really had to clear some apparel reviews you'll see it first lol.

So here's my hair before, a very normal dark brown:

This silver glittery dress is by DirtyBling! I actually sent in an actual order for this (yes I totally still shop online like everyone else!) but the owner was nice so she gave it to me!

And... dip-dye hair! I have lots of plans for my hair next but I don't want to tell anyone LOL. 

I even refrained from tweeting about it till I was done, in case somehow it got "cancelled".

Haha Hello Kitty invasion! 

I don't actually use an iPhone (I use a Blackberry) so I had to borrow my mom's & she was horrified when I returned it to her in this combo LOL. Too cutesy.

And I love how my hair looks on the left! (which is the picture I tweeted)

The HK frames, iPhone cover (hard case) & plug... thingy (ok I just checked, it's called a "pluggy"!) are all from Coveted, which also sent me the 2 heart-shaped food cutters below!

Ooh I'm keen to try the egg one! Then I can make a whole heart-shaped sandwich with the bread cutter!

They also run frequent giveaways on their Facebook page (you guys just missed more Hello Kitty stock & movie tickets) so "like" it to be kept updated!

Dotted skirt & silver leaf necklace are both from Jipaban! They launch new designs weekly!

I really like both pieces & this is an outfit I'd wear out!

Blogshop shoot for Scarlet Velvet which used to be MissxMatch (which has been around for a while)! "Like" their Facebook page for updates! They're one of those that allow customers to sell off their purchases on the page, which I think is really convenient! 

The owner is even taller than me by the way O.O

On Sunday Wendy, Mike, Huiwen (Nuffnang Singapore manager), Jayne (my Nuffnang blog manager), Patrick (Nuffnang sales), Alaric & I went on a yacht thanks to Qiuting! We hardly saw her the whole time though, because she also brought her friends & family so we entertained ourselves on the top deck!

Sob I left my floral hairband on the boat :'(

And I only wore it because I didn't have time to wash my hair... 

So Wendy convinced the crew to give her a quick introduction to navigation.

"Orhhh" *rubs chin*

I think he let her steer the boat for about 5 seconds...

Last picture because after that it got dark & it gets sticky & grimy out on the seas so...

We basically sailed over to St John's Island, anchored there long enough to eat & then we went off to catch the fireworks from the Songs of the Sea (fountain show)!

P.S. Friday is a public holiday guys! Yipee! Sadly for me Friday is one of my "slack" school days so... not much kick lah. It being a public holiday just means it'll be more crowded everywhere.
