Not too long ago I mentioned how I don't have sponsorships yet. Well now I do! I have a hair sponsor, and it's Essensuals Bugis (:
Essensuals BUGIS can be found at:
241-A Victoria Street
Bugis Village
It's located above Burger King; enter from a staircase located on your right if you're standing facing Bugis Street!
Phone: 63330039
Email: bugis@essensuals.com.sg
Check them out on Facebook too for more information and the latest promotions!
Anyway remember how I DIY-ed my hair colour using Liese? It came out waayyyy more orange than expected, and was rather uneven haha.
My dark hair roots came out pretty fast since obviously I did a shoddy dye job.
My super aunty plastic hairband and one persistent tuft of fringe sticking out behind it...
(Alaric came to keep me company!)
The salon looks super nice and chill. They even have a TV, Xbox, PSP, DS Lite etc area for you to hang out at! (the seating area Alaric was standing at)
Consulting the hair colour charts. The stylists at Essensuals Bugis are very patient and slowly went through with me the slight colour/tint differences between the shades, even highlighting differences down to how the colours would show up under sunlight.
They also took a look at my hair condition and were appalled by the haircut and how frizzy/flyaway it is! Haha makes me so embarrassed lol. The stylist said my previous trim was done quite badly and resulted in uneven layers.
FYI my previous haircut was done at the salon at Goodwood Park Hotel and they charged me $60 (student price) for it. I was so super annoyed! Essensuals Bugis is having promotions right now for hair services, which I will mention later!
I'm quite bo-chap about my hair... (I trim like once a year) I couldn't decide on a colour. Eventually I gave them the very vague reply of: "something along the lines of the top row of colours" haha and they hard to work with that.
Dark hair roots super obvious here.
Bryan on the left, and Wayne on the right!
All done and nicely blow-dried for me with soft curls!
Look at what we're showing...
HAHA @ Bryan with long hair.
I was also given a trim, which will help my hair look neater and less all-over-the-place! Now it falls a lot more nicely (:
Some of the promotions that Essensuals Bugis is having right now! Exactly why I mentioned that my previous haircut cost me $60. Bloody hell, I don't even think I got a hair rinse.
Now when you spend above $100 in a single receipt (e.g. haircut, colour and treatment for $109), you stand to win a prize in the lucky draw!
Prizes range from clothes from HerVelvetVase (a well-known blogshop), manicures, haircut/colour/treatment, hair products and more!
Their Facebook page has already started listing some of the lucky draw prize winners!
The Essensuals hairstylists are all fully trained by Toni & Guy to provide the same level of expertise and technique, but at more affordable prices (:
AND LOL AT ALL THE PEOPLE QUEUING FOR KOI!
Like o.O seriously...
So all photos below are with my new hair colour/cut! :D
St James Flea on the 18th of December:
I shared my stall with my friends Sarah and Addie, but I had to leave for a while in the morning/lunchtime. My stall was beside other friends like Qiuting, Kaykay and the twins Jiaqi and Jiayi! (who are super bohliao - they got two stalls instead of just sharing one haha)
Lots of clothes! I had a makeshift hanger-rack thingy which kept falling over and scaring customers away hahaha.
Addie and Sarah used up a ton of the hard white paper I had brought -_- The straw bag thingy on the right is Addie's. Quite a lot of people were interested in it but it's from Commes des Garcons so they baulked a bit at the price haha.
Qiuting and the twins! Qiuting really brought lots of nail polishes and did manicures for girls, some of which were quite ungrateful and rather ungracious. I mean at least say a nice thank you and pretend to look at her items? People do for free for you leh.
Kaykay and her massive $1 pile of items behind her, and Qiuting making her friend wear a wig haha.
I don't think I sold that much but I didn't really mind cause I donated everything to the Salvation Army afterwards anyway. Sarah had lots of nice stuff, but some of the girls were really quite cheapskate.
Our stall was at the back area of St James (Dragonfly) so I think everyone spent most of their money on the front stalls, whose prices were at $15 to $25+? Whereas in our area we were selling for like $1-$5 haha. Like seriously, if your item is priced at $4, they'd bargain for $3...
Went to Zouk... afterwards I think? Or maybe it was another day, I can't even remember.
Dinner at Holland Village Crystal Jade:
Birthday steamboat/xiao long bao buffet for Alaric's friend. Many noms! I basically stuffed myself with only beef/lamb/whatever (was always bad at differentiating meats) and xiao long baos.
The soup was nice!
Grrr the orange light of Frolick makes my photo look so dull.
Anyway this is the dress I wore for dinner, which has a satin-ish top with a chiffon skirt! This dress is from Six&Twelve (: I wore another one of their dresses for Christmas Day itself!
Frolick didn't have any more Original flavour ): I had Lychee, which was not bad too though! I quite like Frolick's froyo.
I don't play poker. I mean I know how to and how it works etc, but never really had the guts to try (besides playing on my Blackberry) haha.
But... I play mahjong!
Woohoo 4-tai game. Pinghu (all series) + zimo (took the winning tile myself).
Full colour! Too bad my liu wan (the top 3 left tiles) are pong (3 of a kind). If they were series as well, it would be pinghu!
Okay bored of my mediocre mahjong explanations. If you don't know how to play it at all you won't understand my meagre and bracketed mentions...
Alaric is so funny when he plays, because he still can't identify the Chinese characters for the 4 winds - North, South, East, West (I don't know the written pinyin for them either). So he has to take a photo or write them down and keep checking which wind he is haha.
Going to sleep. Christmas updates soon! Bye byeeee ~
