Backkkk

Saturday, December 12, 2009
Hi I'm back from Dance Camp!
I wound up with multiple bruises and friction burns on my knees and elbows and feet. (Ever tried spinning on your knees? Pain)

Today we visited Sentosa for beach games as the last leg of Camp. I put on tons of sunblock because I don't tan, I just turn red and peel. Ouch.
I put sunblock everywhere except on my hands. So now I have sunburnt hands. They are red. Way to go!

Anyway, know how Google auto-completes your search with suggestions generally based on things other people have searched? So I tried it the other day using a few keywords. Here's what I got:
What's up with the total fixation on Lady Gaga's sexual orientation??

HAHAHAHA "Why do men have nipples". I can't believe people research such stuff!

Almost 6 million searches for "Do people eat spiders in their sleep"! Where do people get such random questions from anyway?!

Go try with your own words! I realised the search results can change quite drastically every day, so go see what you get!

Byebye, lots of Farmville-ing to catch up on!

NUS Dance Camp Day 1

Thursday, December 10, 2009
OMG SO TIRED. It's 12.23am and I really want to crash in bed but at 12.45am I've to meet my groupmates to work on choreography. And erm.. breakfast tomorrow is at 8am.

Hall life isn't all that fun... the room is TINY and there isn't much privacy. As in overall you just don't really feel like you've your own space to go back to at the end of the day?
And one of the stupidest things I miss about home right now is: the shower spout/head. In hall you can't even pull the shower head away from the wall, it's those stupid stuck-on-the-wall kinds. I mean seriously, what do they think students will do with it? Cut off the shower head and bring it back home??

I just took a chocolate from the Hall's fridge (someone actually left Ben&Jerry's in there. So trusting) but I really want like... prata or maggi now.

Twitter

Wednesday, December 09, 2009
Okay since I'll be away at Dance Camp, I'm officially starting my Twitterzx.
If you have an account, (as I have discovered that the whole world has- even rugby boys, miscellaneous huh-YOU-have-twitter?! ex-classmates, farmville..etc etc- it's like the Facebook I never knew about) you can follow me if you like!

I promise not to crowd your Tweet wall feed (?) with nonsense like: I just ate. Need to fart. (Like, WHO CARES?! Unless you're Daniel Henney/Zac Efron, because I'm sure even you farting is gorgeous. Anyway, girls don't fart. Everyone knows that.)

So yeah, twitter/sophiewillocq. (That was a link by the way).

P.S. Sorry mega n00b I haven't figured out how to put the Twitter feed on my blog hahaha.
P.P.S. Yuck carrying so much stuff for camp! I still have to carry my sleeping bag and laptop in my arms >:(

Zouk on Saturday night. Both Chloe and I drove so that meant no drinking. First time I drove to Zouk! Sheesh I passed through Orchard to get there, and even at midnight there was still a jam. Yuck.

Teresa, Chloe, Me and Amanda.

Mega unglam shots by these guys who kept insisting I look like Bella Swan from Twilight... I mean I've heard that a couple of times (No, really!! Hahahaha). I still don't really see the resemblance but everyone says it's the face shape/chin/mouth/whatever.

Huda came from prom haha.

Yawn. I'm going for NUS Dance Camp tomorrow! Yes I'm in dance hahahaha, I know I never mentioned it before.
Went to Golden Landmark Shopping Centre yesterday to buy the ballet stuff needed for Dance Camp- leotard, ballet shoes, tights etc etc. $79, what a waste of money. Not like I've ever done or will do ballet...

My camp is from Wednesday to Saturday, 4D3N (hoho sounds like a holiday). We'll be staying in one of the NUS halls (Sheares Hall to be exact, which is like really near my faculty anyway). I'll bring along my laptop but I don't know how much free time I'll have.
Yay for Blackberry then!

Going to town now. Oh, we watched Zombieland last night, I thought it was pretty good! Gory and quite scary at times, but still funny overall.
Bye bye, will do a quick post tomorrow before I leave!

over and over and over again

Sophie: Textinggggg youuuuuu from my new phoneeeeee
Mom: Ya ya

On Monday (after exams ended-woohoo) I bought:

$39.90! $_$

and,

$0 (haha because of my plan and whatever)
Yah I know, retarded advertorial-cute-face up there. Brrrr.

Anyway finished reading The Lost Symbol on Wednesday, was slightly disappointed.
The themes just seemed a bit too repetitive- I mean it's always the same idea of some lunatic suddenly pursing a long-lost treasure guarded by a powerful elite group, and to do so he manipulates some high-ranking members of this group and Robert Langdon gets involved somehow. At least there was no customary romance, although there is a female main character as usual.
I thought it was a bit draggy as well cause I skimmed a lot of parts. And it was set in Washington D.C. so I dunno, that seemed too Nicolas-Cage-in-National-Treasure to me.
But overall, it's Dan Brown so it's still worth reading...

Zouk last night (yah on a Thursday) for an event at Velvet:

Last night was ???+zzz+!!!+)))): so = L4D2
Yawn the new L4D2 is a lot harder than its predecessor! We kept dying when we first tried playing it. We made it all the way last night only cause we played *cough*easy, and Sarah left all of us to die (not that Jeannie wasn't dead ALREADY hahahahaha) by saving herself.

My Blackberry took 3+ days for the Blackberry Service to get activated >:(
But so after L4D2 I was busy accomplishing technological feats of my generation- i.e. downloading Facebook & configuring nonsense, without ever reading the manual.
This is prevalent in all humans (except maybe Unnamed Friend #1 who spent 5 minutes pressing the cd Eject button on her Mac thinking it would activate the wireless) below 25 years of age and in Developed Countries. Natural selection! I mean, that's probably why your parents take half a year to learn how to use the Internet and you took only 5 minutes.

Bye. Not in the mood for anything.
