Waking up in the mornings for school/work...
I don't know about you, but I try to catch every single minute of precious sleep so I don't believe in snoozing! I prefer to wake up exactly on the dot if possible, so I need to time my mornings carefully!
P.S. Yes in a Xiaxue's Guide to Life t-shirt :D
First things first - turning off your alarm & checking the time, because for me the slightest delay might make me late! Chop chop chop! And you know how it is for girls... we take more time to get ready!
Especially when we wake up looking like...
This:
Dark eye circles, eyebags, uneven skin tone...
That's what makeup is for right? But that takes time & you don't have that much of it in the morning!
But I can't go out like this... I look half-dead hahaha.
To help my morning routine I have the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector!
It's a 10-in-1 tinted moisturizer with a BB finish that also has SPF26/PA+++ UV protection!
This really easy-to-use moisturizer has BB mineral pigments & it essentially means that the moisturizer is skin-coloured, allowing you to apply like you would a normal moisturizer & also concealing your blemishes + evening out your skin tone!
Aside from giving you a natural, healthy glow, the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector also:
♡ Reduces redness ♡
♡ Smoothens skin ♡
♡ Locks in moisture for 24hrs ♡
♡ Reduces pores & lines ♡
♡ Reduces dark spots & blemishes ♡
I especially love how the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector gives me 3 essential benefits in one single product:
It is a moisturizer for my skin, a concealer for blemishes/ flaws & gives me SPF protection against the sun!
The Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector is also oil and fragrance free, which is important because it will not clog my pores. It is also suitable for all skin types so all you girls can try it!
Watch the video below to see how I get natural coverage with the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector in the time it takes me to toast bread for breakfast!
Suggest other breakfast speed challenges for me to try & you could win a pair of movie tickets + a $50 Garnier hamper! All you have to do is leave a comment with your suggestion! :D
Here's me trying out the Garnier products at home too:
Here's a comparison after applying the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector!
The redness around my eyes & the sides of my nose are nicely hidden :D
Skin tone looks much more even!
You can also use the Garnier BB eye roll-on! It has cooling properties to soothe eyebags while also providing coverage for dark eye circles. Super easy to apply as well with the rolling ball!
For days where I have pimple outbreaks, I use the Garnier tinted spot roll-on for blemishes & pimples! It will help treat your pimple while covering them :)
This is me with just the Garnier products (Miracle Skin Perfector + BB eye roll-on):
Decent enough to go out without having to apply tons of stuff on my face!
I look much fresher yet barely feel like I'm wearing anything.
3 easy steps, 3 easy-to-use products! :D
Suggest other breakfast challenges for me & you could win the products to try them out yourself!
Remember you can win a pair of movie tickets & a $50 Garnier hamper just by commenting! :)
Hope they make your mornings much more hassle-free too!

ReplyDeleteHow about this! ♥
ReplyDelete1. Wake up and snooze off your alarm.
2. Apply Garnier BB Finish while making your way to the kitchen.
2. Head to the fridge and bring out a carton of milk! (It can be any) leave it on the table top.
3. Apply Garnier BB eye roll while taking out eggs from the fridge. ✔
4. Cook the egg on a frying pan, while applying Garnier Tinted Spot-Roll at the same time! that wouldn't be tough!
5. And tadaaa, breakfast done and the perfect morning look plus reducing the hassle to rush for everything! ☼

Speed Challenge: whip up waffles(with berries and maple syrup on the side of course) for breakfast :)
ReplyDeleteyou look...........different than your photos....
ReplyDeletestill SUPER pretty though.
Add cereal to cold milk! Aft you are done w your garnier makeup you milk is just nice to drink and the cereals are not too hard! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, not concerned about winning the hampers (cause I never get picked zzz) but I have a question:
ReplyDeleteDid you have to powder your face to set it (since it states that it has a BB Cream finish)?
Also, a side note, you look so young without your eye make up! :)
I would recommend using loose powder over it yes! After applying I find there's a bit of shine, so I think powder would be good to set it in for the day.

ReplyDeleteI remember you are against animal testing, and here you are doing an demonstration on Garnier products. If you forget, here's the link to your blog post about animal testing, you even specifically mentioned to avoid Garnier.
ReplyDeletehttp://sophiewillocq.blogspot.sg/2011/04/essentials.html
And for your reference, PETA has a list of brands that do animal testing http://www.mediapeta.com/peta/PDF/companiesdotest.pdf
I did say on my Formspring that I've kind of given up on that & pretty much lost the motivation for it. Brands like MAC stopped being cruelty-free. Seemed like there were less & less options. PR staff from The Body Shop have recently emailed me to tell me that apparently the EU has finally imposed its ban of animal testing, but I don't know how effective this really will be. If anything moves then I might feel motivated again. I did turn down a Dove advertorial though.
Deletethank you for your honest reply. glad you're a straight-forward person, you changed my opinion about bloggers who'll just do any advertorials without second thoughts :)
DeleteHello Sophie,
ReplyDeleteWhy don't u try doing ham and cheese for breakfast. I know everyone would love ham and cheese !

Miracle Skin Perfector VS Making an egg sandwich! <3
ReplyDeleteEat up your breakfast, probably any typical sandwich while putting on the products to multitask and save time before rushing off to school/work!
ReplyDeleteGarnier Miracle Skin Perfector vs Toasting Hashbrown/ Chicken Pie in an oven toaster
ReplyDeletejaxinekhoo@gmail.com
I think the whole point of a breakfast challenge is to prove that the skin perfector is easy to use and hassle-free + can be applied within a short period of time. I'm looking at the above suggestions of cooking in one hand while applying make up in the other and am thinking, 'That seems to promote the lack of hygiene actually (i.e. clean fingers, etc)'.
ReplyDeleteI'd suggest applying Garnier in the time it takes for your boyfriend to wash up. Girls typically take longer to get ready than guys do and it'd be sweet if you can get up, wash your face, send the boyfriend in to brush his teeth and when he comes out, you're done and ready to go. This isn't quite a breakfast challenge though...
Otherwise, perhaps the time it takes from when a pancake mix is poured into the pan and until it browns and is ready to be turned over...?

Make an easy, delicious, hearty and healthy breakfast within 5 minutes!
ReplyDelete*Put some bread in a toaster/ oven (if it's garlic bread)
*Wash and cut your favourite fruits (eg. strawberries, blueberries, bananas, kiwifruit, grapes, pineapple etc lol) into bite-size pieces
*Add some yoghurt/oatmeal/cereals to the fruits
*Pour yourself some milk/milo/whatever floats your boat to go along with it :)
*Take out the toasted bread
hey sophie! :-)
ReplyDeleteFor the breakfast challenge, you could boil water, add it to a pot of oats and let it cook over a stove while you apply the three products. You can also add sliced bananas to your cooked oats, it's a really yummy breakfast and it's so convenient! Cooking the oats will take no more than 5 minutes :-) (Also this is healthier than boiling water for instant noodles. they're high in salt content and they cause dark eye circles!)
Hi! I think if you need to save time in the mornings, you can consider toasting bread/boil an egg/pour cereal into milk/cook oat cereal or/and simply make a fruit smoothie!!!! These ideas simply do not require much cooking preparation done yup! So you can apply your makeup at ease while preparing your breakfast!! You can save time or multitask!
