My friends had decided to organize a dog picnic + potluck one day & I was lamenting about how I didn't have a dog to bring, when coincidentally Huiwen asked me to dog-sit Truffles again!

Truffles is very good-natured & affectionate cocker spaniel :)

Maryanne said she CANNOT be walked on a leash at all.

Put a leash on her & she will refuse to budge, so she has to be carried O.O

I have no fridge at the moment!

Ours is under repair so we're using a tiny mini-fridge.

I like having Truffles around because she's a sweet dog but it really is a lot of work. I last had a dog almost 6 years ago. Aside from the physical work (clearing the newspaper, bringing it out for walks, mopping the floor...) you also feel guilty worrying about them being at home alone!

Truffles especially; she got really attached. 

She would just wait in the front of the door if I was out/sleeping & she followed me everywhere.

Dogs are really more for larger families where the work can be divided & there's more people around to spend time with it.

Happy birthday to me!

Ok it was yesterday.

And by the time I post this up it would have been yesterday yesterday.

Took out my old birthday crown from 2008!

I ended my internship the day before my birthday! :D

My boss(es) organised a farewell cum birthday (mine + another staff) cum welcome (2 new staff) dinner & movie on my last day! We all had a hearty buffet dinner at Orchard Hotel followed by the Dark Knight Rises movie! Your boss got so good to you not? Lol.

The staff at Orchard Hotel sang me a birthday song with a cake! :D

The awkward part was that I was standing at the central buffet area (waiting with my friend for the oysters to be refilled haha) when they came dancing over O.O lolol paiseh max *hides face*

Anyway sorry but it's (was) my birthday so expect pictures of just me lol.

Ok sorry for the ads but I've only just started my holiday after interning for 2.5 months so I wanna enjoy it a bit! :D Gosh I don't know how working people get used to it... University spoilt me! Right up till JC I was of course used to the daily grind, but with university my timetable became so much more flexible. 

Then now back to the daily thing >:(

And wei... during my internship I really did struggle to maintain my blog (both ads - blogshops/Nuffnang & normal updates) while still having a 9.30 am - 6.30 pm job. 

It becomes frustrating when I have to worry about not blogging enough :( I mean it's like, you don't worry about not writing enough in your diary do you? So anyway, glad I'm done with work now! 

I lucked out & had a pleasant experience, but it really is very time-consuming.

I'll be travelling before school starts again!

So yay more things to show you guys!

Tokyo (6) - Ueno

Omg wtf I too feel a bit ridiculous to be at the 6th part of my Tokyo trip -_-

And it's not the last part -_- LOL

So anyway by this time we had pretty much done all the "must-do" things in Tokyo (on OUR list anyway), like seeing Harajuku, Disneyland, the Pokemon store & neko cafes... 

On our last full day we headed to Ueno! 

As far as I know it's not really "famous" in the way Harajuku or Shibuya is, but I took note of it because it's supposed to be more of the "old" Tokyo, compared to the flashy neon lights & cute girls of Shinjuku. 

It definitely turned out to be more traditional!

There's still some shopping to be done here but it's not as "trendy".

Like you'd see a lot of sports shoes, electronics & fresh food stores!

Brought Duffy out for the trip!

Quite a few nice guys' shops here!

Never quite understood why any food shop/brand would ever use a cute cartoon of the animal we're about to eat as the mascot -_-" #awkward

Or a reject or whatever.

Totally didn't notice at first but once you actually pick it up & hold it the difference is very stark!

This Shellie May has all kinds of defects. 

For one, the stitching on her tummy is very distinct (look at Duffy's, no visible line).

She has another line of stitching at the back of her head (Duffy doesn't) & plus it is crooked.

The bow on her hand is sewn-on while those at Disneysea are on a removable headband.

Her nose is plastic whereas Duffy's is stitched.

The Disney tag on her is different & says Made in China (what's new).

Duffy's has a sequence number & says Made in Vietnam.

Ok lah it's not very drastic but I feel a bit cheated on Duffy's part lololol.

He has a fake wife! 

But also feel sad for Shellie May cause it's not her fault & she will always feel inferior!
