Hatched is an all-day brunch restaurant at Bukit Timah; pretty known for dishes like its Eggs Benedict!

Hello Kitty bracelet I got from a turn-turn machine in Cineleisure!

It's $2 per turn, located beside the ATMs at the basement.

I kept getting hair ties (cute too). Cost me $16 to get this wth.

Actually the most important to me is really lighting; I always increase the exposure/brightness of my pictures on my computer & they instantly look better - flaws (crease lines, dark eye circles... etc) are less obvious & overall your picture looks way more cheery!

And don't forget about angles! Most of you should have noticed by now that I only take photos with my left profile. Occasionally I have frontal shots & other mild variations, but generally left is safer for me. It might have just become a habit (I started taking pictures on this side because my fringe parting is there; back then I wasn't doing it intentionally or anything) that became a "look"/face I'm so accustomed to that my right side looks sooo weird to me!

The felt tip liner on the lower lash line is much thinner compared to that of a pencil, so it's a good option if you're going for a more natural look! When I look at my pictures above it pretty much looks like I'm not wearing liner on the bottom at all. That's why I ended up putting on the darker eyeshadow tones actually, I didn't have a concrete plan before putting on the makeup haha.

So yep I focused the dark grey on the outer corners, but decided to extend it inwards a little to add on to the eyeliner & make it darker without having to draw mega-thick eyeliner.

I'll be giving away some of the items sent to me (unused, don't worry)!

Fish & Co. uses iPads now for order-taking!
The order does go through, but it's still quite inefficient for drinks since those are handled by floor staff.
Anyway I wasn't too happy with the food I got (cod & also cheese farfalle).
I guess I should just stick to their fish & chips, which is usually good!

Tokyo (2) - Harajuku

Went to Harajuku the next day! Harajuku is really a must-go to me; way more interesting than Shibuya unless you're a serious shopper I guess haha. Harajuku has more stuff to look at; kind of like a much bigger & more decorated version of Haji Lane. The stuff here is cheaper than at Shibuya too & there are eateries interspersed between the shops.

Today's post is mostly on the interesting shops!

Anyway the metro station is Harajuku, but you actually come at Takeshita Street. You have to walk through this street (which is awesome) to get to the more indie (and thus more expensive) side of the Harajuku area.

Tamagotchi bakery!

Ok actually it's quite cheat one lah, they just sell the mini donuts & Tamagotchi stuff in the same shop.

And those are my comfy $30 boots! Woolen/furry interior. Very comfy.

I know the one on the right is a Gloomy Bear outfit (because Alaric likes Gloomies too)!

Saw quite a lot of these shops with their entrances plastered by pictures of what I assume are Japanese celebs. Not sure what the shops do. Make/sell paraphernalia like posters I suppose. Seemed popular!

Oh yeah there are some 2nd-hand shops here but they're damn expensive lah!
Like more expensive than the new items selling at Takeshita Street.
And they're just old/2nd-hand, not particularly quirky vintage.

There was a 24-hour minimart in between our metro stop & the hotel so every night we'd just buy nonsense snacks on the way back. And there's a vending machine right outside our room too! Hotels should totally have more vending machines; but I guess then they wouldn't earn from exorbitant minibar prices.

P.S. You can't smoke in the streets except in designated smokers' squares! I'm not sure how far this rule applies, but I know it's the norm in the Shinjuku area (we stayed 2 stops away, at Yotsuya-Sanchome).
